Castaway Walkthrough

Castaway is a role-playing game that puts you in the role of a young man washed up on a desert island. Castaway features anime-styled isometric graphics, great audio, variety of friendly creatures and enemies, and over fifty quests.

The objective of Castaway is to help the inhabitants of the island by completing various quests. Along the way, you will have to face a variety of hostile monsters, but you will also meet allies and pets that will help you in battle along the way. In typical role-playing game fashion, your character and pets have hitpoints and experience points. When enough experience points are gained, you will level up, becoming more powerful and unlocking new abilities.

At the beginning of this RPG, you will have to make your way to civilization. You will encounter a pet that will help you in combat against the initial low-level monsters that you encounter. Make sure to order your pet to attack enemies so that you can gang up on your opponent and deal with them quicker. As you progress in Castaway, you will encounter monster eggs. Put these eggs in the pet shelter's hatchery once you make it into town, and over time, they will become pets that you can take with you into battle. You can only take one pet along on your journey at a time, but you can have up to three pets at once. If you encounter a fourth pet, you will have to set one free to keep the fourth. I advise you to keep your most powerful pets since they will help you the most in battle!

Aside from the pet shelter, the town in castaway features a variety of buildings that will help you on your journey. The traveler's den is a place where you can replenish the hitpoints of you and your pet. You are also encourages to save your game in the traveler's den. Goods and weapons can be bought and sold from the general store and blacksmith using gold that you earn on your quests. The mage and mercenary guilds assign quests and increase your abilities. Use your mouse to navigate to various buildings in the town. To leave the town, use the map in the upper-left corner of the screen.
